The Great American Detox Diet by Alex Jamieson

Alex Jamieson is the girlfriend of Super Size Me’s director and star Morgan Spurlock. Jamieson altered the detox diet seen in the documentary to create The Great American Detox, a diet designed for anyone to follow. It is an 8-week program targeted to improve both physical and spiritual health for the long-run. The Great American Detox Diet is filled with delectable recipes that include healthy variations on your not-so-healthy favorite foods, as well as plenty of constructive advice.

Jamieson studied at New York City’s Natural Gourmet Cooking School and the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She is currently a vegan chef and holistic health counselor. The Great American Detox Diet is published by Rodale Books.
